For DS3 they could keep the basic skeleton of the story, but completely redo the gameplay and atmosphere so it's more like the remake of the first. Well, after speculation and rumours galore over the past few weeks, it's finally happening - a Dead Space remake is in the works at EA Motive and is coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S at some point in the future. Motive can pick up where Visceral left off and give us the 'proper' DS3 we all wanted. It customizes the player experience on-the-fly, tuning the atmosphere to maintain tension without overwhelming the player. I have confidence that Visceral knew what they were doing before EA screwed it up. BUILDING A STRESS ENGINE And experiences like this are the work of the most significant features of this top-to-bottom remake, a new system that drives all those dynamic events. Lets say they make 4 maps with 4 unique difficulties Regular experience you fight from A to B looking to repair something as 4 engineers fighting off waves of slashers with the occasional special enemy mixed in and one regenerator/Hunter boss fight. ![]() they could just make DS3 as it was originally intended. It should be like Left 4 Dead combined with running a gauntlet. Visceral wanted to go back to the methodical pacing and atmosphere of DS1 but EA wanted to increase sales by making it more mainstream. I've heard that the original plan for DS3 was much different than the finished product. No one I have ever talked to was particularly fond of part 3 so I could see them taking what good parts there were from 3 and expanding on 2 with it for a more fulfilling experience.
